Frequently asked questions.

Can I try on the Dresses in Person?

Though we are primarily an online brand, we do sometimes have popup events for brides to peruse the collection, and we can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful details in person! From May 8th through May 12th 2023, we are participating in London Craft Week. We would love to have you pop in anytime on those dates between 10am to 7pm at Old Spitalfields Market Second Floor 16 Horner Square, London E1 6EW, United Kingdom. Can’t wait to see you there!

Try On appointments are also available by appointment only at our Chicago Workroom Location, 1509 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60614. Reach out today to set up an appointment!

How does Gown Sizing Work?

Each gown is measured by the waist, bust and length and rounded up to the nearest 1/4”. The standard dress sizes are approximate based on standard US dresses sizing (not bridal sizing). Like with all wedding gowns, alterations are expected to get the perfect fit.

What if the Gown isn’t my Size? Can it be altered to fit?

Please note that each Bricolage gown is one of a kind, and can generally not be sized up. Other standard alterations such as sizing down hemming, etc. will not be a problem.

In a word, yes, but be aware that  if the gown is two or more sizes too big, resizing can be pricey. The possibility of resizing a gown that is too small varies from gown to gown, but can sometimes be done with some creative problem solving and an experienced tailor. If you are concerned about whether your gown can be resized, feel free to reach out to us with specifics.

Do you offer Alterations?

We do not directly offer alterations, but you can contact our skilled sister company, Ette the Wedding Tailor, located in Chicago, IL to inquire about availability, or we are happy to provide a list of recommended tailors in your area.

How quickly can I receive a Dress?

All items are ready to ship and typically ship within 3 days of your order. Within the United States we offer standard ground shipping via Fedex which can take 5-7 business days. For worldwide shipping, gowns are also shipped via Fedex. Shipments can take several weeks to arrive and Bricolage Bridal is not responsible for custom costs incurred with international shipping.

What is your Return Policy?

All gowns, earrings, veils, accessories, gift cards, and shipping costs are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Do you recommend any special care for Bricolage Gowns?

After your gown arrives before alterations, we recommend storing it in a safe, dark, climate-controlled place to store it free of pests, pets, and children. Remove the outer plastic layer, but leave your dress in the garment bag until steaming. Make sure to have the dress by all of the hang-straps, and not the dress straps, so they do not get damaged by the weight of the gown. When ready to steam, steam each layer separately from the inside of the gown working your way from top to bottom. Do not iron. Any hand steamer should work! After wearing all gowns should be professionally cleaned.

This all sounds great, but I have another question?

No problem, feel free to email us at info@bricolagebridal.com and we will get back to you shortly!
